Many of Porgalvano products and accessories, developed over the last few years, were born from a\u00a0concrete need<\/strong>, a creative inspiration of a user, or an intuition that emerged during a visit to a galvanic plant. Thanks to a constant commitment in research and development, these prototypes have turned into\u00a0standardised\u00a0<\/strong>products, which are now available to all customers.<\/p>\n

The Progalvano\u2019s cleaning wedges: an innovation for the maintenance of bell contacts<\/h2>\n

One of the products that best represents Progalvano\u2019s approach is the\u00a0cleaning wedge for bell contacts mod. 2000 and for mod.1000<\/strong>. This tools were developed in response to a real need, the cleaning of bells, which is often neglected due to time difficulties in the production context.<\/p>\n

Why cleaning the cathode contacts?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The cleaning and the proper maintenance of\u00a0bell contacts<\/strong>\u00a0are fundamental operations for every galvanic line. A lack of bells cleaning leads to\u00a0insufficient current conductivity<\/strong>, with negative impacts on the treatment process of small parts loaded into the barrel. Despite the importance of this maintenance, there is often a lack of time between production shifts to perform a careful cleaning.<\/p>\n

The Cleaning Wedges are an autonomous and effective solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To overcome this deficit,\u00a0Progalvano\u00a0<\/strong>developed a wedges to be installed on the edge of the tank that cleans the bells\u00a0independently<\/strong>. The wedges, model\u00a02000 and 1000<\/strong>, are made of\u00a0PE (polyethylene)<\/strong>, with an\u00a0AISI 316<\/strong>\u00a0back closing plate and\u00a0two lateral brass brushes<\/strong>, designed for coupling with our standard and bar bells\u00a0mod. 2000 and mod.1000 <\/strong>as well.<\/p>\n

Brass brushes have a specific abrasive action that only acts on the dirt residues inside the bells, without damaging the tin plating. The brushes are arranged on the sides of the wedge and are designed to remove dirt to ensure a gentle but thorough cleaning.<\/p>\n
